Ridgewave has a great dense coat with moderately bold crimp plus lots of brightness. Yarn from his fibre is so lustrous & what a soft handle! The mill had difficulty spinning it due to it's slipperiness!
He is always picked out by visitors for his 'regal' stance in the paddock.
People enjoy leading him & he has been a hit with all. School groups have come & his temperament is ideal for an introduction to alpacas.
Ridgewave has sired 8 progeny- 4 females & 4 males. Six are dark brown or bay black from dams who were a light fawn. A black little gal arrived during the summer of 2006 - from a black dam.
Grey Knickers arrived on June 10/06! What a wee thing! 9 1/2#s! Doing just fine - can see him on his own page. And a black little gal arrived for a friend. 'Blackwave' has a white nose & white 'lightning bolt' on her forehead - what a cutie! Her fibre glistens & she is so easy to pick out in the paddocks.
